Biodiversity as a Human Right
Are you an expert on biodiversity?
Human Right 2 Water, in collaboration with IUCN, is working to advance the recognition of biodiversity as a human right.
We’ve developed a new methodology that assesses how different countries are integrating biodiversity protection into their laws, constitutions, and policies. This initiative aims to place biodiversity at the core of human rights and governance frameworks.
We’re looking for experienced professionals to peer-review our new methodology. If you’re interested in contributing your expertise, we’d love to hear from you!

Menstrual Health Management Reports
After two years of research and collaboration with our expert network, Human Right 2 Water has begun releasing a series of Menstrual Health Management (MHM) reports, examining how different countries are addressing this critical issue through law and policy.
This month, our legal team is spotlighting Bangladesh and Bulgaria—two countries with distinct approaches and challenges in advancing MHM.

All people, representing every sector and types of organisation, are invited to contribute their views and comments through this second global online consultation.
The deadline for submissions is 17 October 2025 (COB, EDT).
World Rivers Day!
On September 28th, we joined the global celebration of World Rivers Day, recognising the essential role rivers play in supporting nature, communities, and the balance of our ecosystems.
This year, we are highlighting the inspiring work of The Watoto Program in Kibera, Kenya. This grassroots initiative is making a meaningful difference by:
Organising river clean-ups in one of Nairobi’s most underserved areas
Providing educational support to children in the community
Promoting environmental awareness and long-term resilience
Support their work – 100% of donations go directly to the organisation.
Community of Practice Event Sign-up
